I want to use a custom field in my imported CSV file to add a whole paragraph of text in my newsletters which is customised to the recipient.
The custom field representing that text would be inserted into the newsletter template and (hopefully) reproduce it in full

Before I engage in this project, is anyone aware of a size limit to fields? If there is, could I get around it by using several separate fields in my import and then concatenate them in the newsletter?

I’ve also put this to the paid support “Happiness Engineers” at MailPoet, so I’ll copy that response here if I get it.

    I got this response:

`Thank you for contacting MailPoet! I’m happy to help you with this.

    > My question is: Is there a limit to the size of a custom field? If there is, could we split the text up and concatenate several together? Any other gotchas I should know about?

I just created a custom field on my test site and added a 5000 characters text to my test subscriber’s custom field, and it worked. I don’t believe there is any limit, but please do a quick test on your site specifically to confirm it’s working as expected.

This is how you can create a custom field: Add Custom Fields to a Form.

I hope this clarifies a bit, but please let us know if you have any questions!`

    Hi there @nathanzamprogno,

    That was my response 🙂

Please let me know if you have further questions 🙂
