Custom Fields – Can I import?

    Basically I have a 6k+ products with different variations.

    Variation types include:

    Item sub group

    material

    season

    subject

    size

    Each of these have multiple options.

    Is there not a away where by I can just cluster the products in the backend of wordpress, add the field name I want to add, the value and then import them?

    Currently I am doing this manually to build the following product tables but my wrist is killing me.

    I have seen some plugins that mention ACFs but these seem to connect with attributes? Which I am unfamiliar with.

    Hi there @mmk175, thanks for reaching out.

    It sounds like you’re looking to bulk edit your products and their variations. You’re right, manually editing each product can be quite time-consuming.

    You can indeed cluster your products and import them using a CSV file. Furthermore, you can add fields and values in the CSV file and then import it into your WooCommerce backend. This can be done using the built-in product importer of WooCommerce. More details can be found here: https://woo.com/document/product-csv-importer-exporter/.

    Regarding ACFs (Advanced Custom Fields), these are used to add extra data fields to your WordPress edit screens. They can indeed be connected with attributes, which are essentially characteristics of a product, like color, size, etc.

    If you’re unfamiliar with them, you might want to check out the ACF documentation or consider hiring a developer to assist you.

    That seems like a lot to read at the moment and doing this manually at the moment might be my quickest option as I have a deadline and I am already in the thick of it.
