Hi,
Thanks for reaching out and providing feedback. Comments like this confirm we are on the right track.
BePro Listings does not currently handle custom fields. However, this is scheduled for development and will eventually be released as part of the base plugin
For now, if you are technically inclined, there are hooks you can utilize to make the process easier. Instead of editing the files and hence removing yourself from the normal upgrade process, try to at the very least use the wordpress hooks in your functions.php file. An even better solution would be to create a standalone addon plugin.
The hooks you should be particularly interested in are:
- bepro_listings_update_listing
- bepro_listings_add_listing
- any of the 8 action hooks in the templates/form.php file
Our team engineered BePro Listings to be customizable and extendable providing a stellar foundation. So, requirements like yours are relatively simple to implement. On our end, we are prioritizing these and releasing them as fast as possible. Requests on our forums are part of the criteria which helps us to prioritize. Learn more about our release process here:

Hope this helps!

Thanks very much! I did edit the core files, but I think I’ll switch it to override the functions I edited in functions.php as you suggested. I’ll go ahead and try utilizing that method for adding custom fields to the frontend as well, but I look forward to the next release. Thanks again!
