Custom Fields will not save

    Hey

    I am having trouble added new custom fields. Everytime I add one, it appears, I add in the relevant value and hit publish. The field does not save. If I edit the value for an existing field, it flashes yellow in the normal way, but will not save.

    I have tried deactivating all plugins, this had no effect.

    Any other thoughts?

    There is not really enough information here to be able to troubleshoot properly.
    Are you using the Advanced Custom Fields plugin ?

    Hey

    No, I am not using that plugin. I have tried deactivating all plugins, no change, so I guess its safe to assume its not the plugin.

    There are no obvious error messages. I add a new field, I add the value, it shows in the admin area. Then, I hit publish, the screen freshes and the field and value are gone again, literally, it doesn’t save.

    I have previously used these custom fields on other posts on the site, these remain working, but I am unable to edit them, no changes will save.

    I am runnning the Total Theme for WordPress, I have many installations of this theme, custom fields on other installs appear unaffected.

    Not sure what other info I can provide?

    Usually with these sorts of errors, its a known bug and usually an easy fix, but I can’t find anything for this. Running the latest verison of WP and all plugins and themes are up to date.

    Go and take a look at your php error and access logs :

    to see if there is a clue in there.

    Thanks for your reply.

    No errors reported.

    I installed the plugin. The Custom Fields box has now vanished completely. Its no longer in Screen Options either.

    Where you expecting that?
