Unique header image for date archives?

    So your additional plugin unique-headers-single-posts resolves issue of using same custom image on posts are for the parent category – check. We can also assign custom headers to categories and tags – check. So that just leaves date archives – how can I get a custom image on that?

    This is a can of worms I have not attempted to upturn yet 😉

    It’s not going to be as simple to implement, because there is no existing UI for changing facets of the date archives. Perhaps an extension plugin could be made which added a new “Date” post-type. That post-type could include extra data, including the custom header image.
