custom language files

    HI,
    I want to create a custom language file (french) for Event Tickets by following the steps indicated here .

    The problem is at step 1 where it is asked to copy the .mo file and the .po at the following place : Event Tickets: /wp-content/plugins/events-tickets/lang/.

    My problem is that I only have .mo file and NOT the po file not only for french but for all the languages there is no .po files ??

    Hi @yipikayedude,

    You can download the .mo file, edit it using POEdit software and it’ll generate the .po file. Then you can upload both files to /wp-content/plugins/events-tickets/lang/.

    If you prefer managing your translations directly on your website, you can use Loco Translate plugin following these steps at https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/managing-translations-with-loco-translate/.

    Hi Abz,

    Thanks for your message. I’m getting back to you regarding my initial message.

    I tried it out with Loco Translate and could almost change everything 🙂

    The only thing I couldn’t change it’s the translated name on links on the events display on the calendar. It’s not regarding Event Tickets plugin though but The Events Calendar plugin instead.

    I’m not IT savvy at all then I would highly appreciate if you could give me a bit of custom css, php or html. Whatever could help me to translate correctly the name on this link.

    Apart from that I have to say tha Loco Translate is a brilliant plugin.

    Nice, thanks for trying it out! Let’s see what we can do here. I think you forgot to attach the URL, could you provide me the URL here?

    Would also be good if you could provide us a screenshot and pinpoint which texts you want to update. You could use a free version of a third-party app, Loom or CloudApp for the screenshots.

    Thanks for you msg.
    For the url, my website is not online yet, I’m still working on it and is on maintenance mode. Here’s the loom link . I’d like to change the wording “Lire la suite” as it doesn’t fit with what I want.

    Appreciate you providing the screenshot here, and no worries about the website URL, we prefer to see the page, but I’d still like to help you further regardless not seeing it.

    It seems like this would need to change the wording on the page, could you follow this article here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/k/change-the-wording-of-any-bit-of-text-or-string/. This would require knowledge with PHP to implement this.

    Please let me know how it goes, and I’d be glad to help you out further.
