Custom layout?

Hi,

I’m new to web dev and am wondering if you have any suggestions for how to create a listing layout that looks like this and is still somewhat responsive for mobile?

I’ve been playing around with it all day, and can’t quite get it to work out. I also for the life of me can’t get the image to resize, no matter what I modify in the CSS, even though I got it to resize just fine when I gave the grid layout a try.

If the ‘read more’ button is too complicated or impossible, I can live without that.

Any advice/thoughts you have would be much appreciated! Thanks so much!
