Custom Menu with Thumbnails

This plugin is excellent for displaying recent posts with a thumbnail.

Is there a way for this plugin to display a Custom Menu (created in Appearance/Menus) with thumbnails?

The Custom Menu widget that comes with WordPress unfortunately doesn’t have an option for showing thumbnails.
