• So I’m trying to style a custom navbar, but I’m hitting a roadblock. I’ve created a child theme, but every time I attempt to manipulate the nav, none of the CSS applies correctly. Are there any tips?

Also, the static page isn’t very SEO friendly, so are there ways to use tags in the different front page elements?

    Thanks!!

  • Hi @stlcardsfan,

I recommend you add the custom css in Customize => Additional CSS.

and install this plugin to make it SEO friendly: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wordpress-seo/

I’m using a child theme, and I’m missing something somewhere.

Also, do I lose all functionality by using a child theme? I’m unable to choose color scheme, add, delete, etc.

I use Yoast. I just can’t tag anything on the static front page. I might just have to build a theme from scratch :/
