Custom Plugin in

Hi, I found a nice tutorial showing how to make my own plugin, it just displays:”Hello World”, but I am curious as to why this text shows up in my HTML pages even when I didn’t explicitly indicate where to call this function. What I mean is that i didn’t put into my template scripts like index.php, so why does it show up on its own?

I’m frustrated with such a simple plugin…any help appreciated.
