    Hi πŸ™‚

I apologize for the delay, I have many projects on the go including working a FT job and raising a family.

I do my best to get around to the support tickets on free plugins as soon as I can.

    1. Yes, it’s a custom post type
    2. We update the plugin as needed to keep up with WordPress requirements and when/if we add any new functionality to the plugin.

    Thanks

    Hi. Thanks for your answer.
    1)So it’s a custom post type SLIDER, isn’it?
2)I need it will be updated only to fit WP new versions, don’t need any other option or so, but, you know, I have to use it in a client site, so I have to be sure it will be working always.
    Thanks for your work. πŸ˜‰

    Thanks! πŸ™‚

Yes, it is a custom post type, but the actual CPT name is ‘cr3ativcarousel’

It does work on the latest version of WP, I have several installs of this running on our live previews as well as a /plugins directory.

Is something not working for you now? I’d be happy to have a look for you.

    Hi.
    1) I mean: may I slide my own CPT? Such as “books” or so?
    2) Hope to use it with all the next WP versions too πŸ˜‰
Not tried yet, I’ll do it as soon as possible and will let you know.
    Thanx!

No worries at all, if you have any issues, just reply to this thread (I get email notifications on any threads I’ve already responded to, just not on new threads created) and let me know.

The slides are just posts, it takes your content, so when you create a new ‘slide’ you add your own images, text, shortcodes, what have you and the slider will display them for you (takes any content that WordPress will allow in a post content area).

So you can use your own CPT if you’d like, but you would have to manually create content to point to the permalink of the CPT (if you follow me).

I don’t need a manual content slider but a custom post type slider for automatically sliding e-books thumbnails and titles. After I’ll have set the slider optios with my appropriate CPT (books)for my client, he has only to post new books CPT and the slide should show the most recent 5 or 6 or more new books, as I set the first time. Does your plugin work this way? I found many content sliders but I’m searching a CPT slider, that is very harder to find. Thanx.

Hmmm, in theory, you could make a few tweaks to the plugin and make this plugin your own. It would require some changes to the code and the CPT name since it doesn’t currently operate the way you want it to be.

But I could see with a little bit of tweaking this working for you. You would want to bring in the title, featured image and the permalink instead of the post content and replacing the CPT name from the plugin’s CPT name to your ebook CPT name. Then the plugin could be yours.

But out-of-the-box, no, it doesn’t currently work this way πŸ™‚

” … replacing the CPT name from the plugin’s CPT name to your ebook CPT name. “ I’d like to pass a CPT type (!) such as “books” or “movies” or whatever CPT I created, so not posts and categories but CPT and categories. If you could do it, would be great, for all the other users too. I’m not in a hurry, as my client actually is busy and he can wait a little time to have it. Thank you so much.

Hi – I appreciate the request, unfortunately creating a plugin such as this would violate the terms & conditions for the place I’m currently working FT for.

There are many plugins out there that already do this, some free and some premium.

I apologize for not being able to help with this request, but hope you can understand. πŸ™‚

    Thanks

Hi. Thanks for your help. There are not so many free plugins sliding CPT, only posts and images and texts, many more if they are premium plugins. Not much money to spend in this project, but I found a free plugin I’m testing and it seems that suits my needs perfectly. Thanx again, have a nice day! πŸ˜‰
