Custom post type

    I can’t seem to select a custom post type unless it has a category.

    custom-post-type => does not appear
    -custom-post-type/category => appears

    I assume the only way around this would be to use the pro versions url feature?

    Thank you for reporting this.

    What is the custom post type (and what plugin added it)?

    In general Content Aware Sidebars will work with all custom post types and all custom taxonomies. But sometimes plugins use a custom WP_Query to load content (and don’t reset the query afterwards), which can confuse the “logic” Content Aware Sidebars uses to identify content.

    And yes, you are right that the URL condition would work in this case.
