Custom post type with category broken

I would like to be able to display posts from a custom post type that is in a specific category. When I try to do this it does not work.

For example:
[ic_add_posts showposts=’2′ post_type=’Events’ category=’test’]

I can get this to work if I go to “Text” view and write:
[ic_add_posts showposts='2' post_type='Events' category='test']

But this method breaks other shortcodes on the page. Is there a simple fix for this? Thanks for any help.
