custom post type within post not shown

I’m using the insert page plugin together with search and filter pro. If I insert post A in to post B I get both post A and post B when I search for content only availible in post A. This is the way I expect it to work. But when I insert a custom post type C in to post B I only get post C listed in the search results and not post B. I’m using relevansi and I I’ve tried “everything” it feels. Is this even possible to do?
