Is there a way to determine where this plugin shows up? It’s great for my blog but for my custom post types I’d rather not have it load in those editing areas as it does not apply. Is there a setting for this.

Support for custom post types has recently been added due to popular demand. There is currently no way to stop the plugin from showing up but you can simply click on the title of the metabox in order to hide it from view.
