What I did in the end, is reinstall WordPress.
    Everything works properly !!!

    Thank you for your patience.

    I have another question:
My custom post type is “lawyer”.
The details of each lawyer are:
    1. Cities for service.
    2. Lawyer area of practice: Criminal, taxes …

I’ve already built it all using Advanced Custom Fields plugin.

    my question is:
If I want to display on the frontend the list of all the lawyers and filter by city / area of practice:
    1. How can I do this?
    2. Is there a need for another plugin and if so, which plugin can you recommend?
    3. Do you have a guide on how to do this?

Thanks for the patience, it’s not obvious.

Those lingering questions may be better asked to ACF support since I don’t know offhand exact how well their field retrieval API works for setting up things like meta queries and filtering like that.

Glad you got things better sorted out all in all though. Odd solution but if it works…it works 😀
