Custom queries

Hi,

Is there a possibility in CDBT to get fields from the database with a custom query? WHat I mean is for instance a sum of a certain column in a tbale, or just a specific field?

What I want to do is some sort of a profile page, so create profiles and than create a page based on an ID with specific field from the profile.
If not, does anybody know an active plugin which can provide this?
