Custom searches using shortcode

    Hi. Nice plugin! We are using it to search for custom posts (feed items) created by wp rss aggregator plugin (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/wp-rss-aggregator). It works great to search all items, but we want to make multiple different custom search using [shortcode] so for example we only want the search box to be used on the Business News page and it would only search in the feed items Business News source. Maybe something like [wpdreams_ajaxsearchlite feedsource_ID="3"]

    So we can put that search on the Biz news page and it will not show results from other topics like sports, health, etc when user searches it’s just business news headlines.

    Please advise if any ideas or any documentation of advanced custom search bars that can be created using shortcode variables.

    Hi,

    Thank you very much for your kind words!

    I’m afraid this is not possible within the free version. Usually I suggest a custom code or anything if I can, but in this case there is no way around it I’m afraid. This Lite version is designed for a single search instance/shortcode.

    Would the paid version of ajax search plugin allow creation of multiple different search shortcodes so we could only limit search results on for example Business News page, to specified feed ID’s or feed categories? So instead of search results showing all feed items from other news topics it would only show feed items from the wprss plugin category ‘business’ or specified wprss feed IDs?
