Custom sidebar links

    Does anyone know where I can find a theme that only has links to the Archives, Categories, Links, etc sections? I mean, I don’t want to list all my archives, links, etc on my sidebar, rather, I want a separate page for them. I don’t want to have a long sidebar, rather just a few links that lead to other pages. How do I go about that?

    Couldn’t you just delete the sections you don’t out of your current sidebar?

    Admin > Presentation > Theme editor > Sidebar Template

    But how do I then link to my archives.php file? If I try http://domainhere.com/archives.php it gives me a 404 error…

    Sorry. I was just to the WP version before the templates thing. Before, I only had to create a page with the code
    <ul>
    <?php wp_get_archives('type=monthly'); ?>
    </ul>

    and then save that as archives.php and I’m all set.

    I’m currently using the default template.
