    Hi there,

I got an issue with INSANE loadspeed on my page, I contacted my host, and they told me it was caused by Custom Sidebar Plugin, and adviced to find a different plugin for the job, since this plugin seemed to be “poorly developered”.

But I dont agree, I like this plugin, and I think you know what you’re doing – But they showed me a chart, and it was clear, that this plugin caused the high loadspeed, is there anyway this can be fixed?

    Regards,

  • Thank you for your vote of confidence! I am going to pass this on to the developer to see if we can look further into this. In the mean time could you provide some information about your setup?

    – Version of PHP
    – Url
    – Are you running any caching plugins?
    – Are you getting any errors?

We look forward to hearing from you.

How do I reply without being visible to everyone?

    Php version 5.6 or 7.0

I dont run any cache yet no (test environment)
I dont get any errors, what I can see 🙂

    Regards,

I have shared this with our developer and he will be looking into your specific use case. Unlike Smush, our service based plugin that does all of the optimization and compression on its own servers, Custom Sidebars is interacting with and effected by the system, servers, themes, custom development, and other plugins on the system. We are doing our best to make it work for as many configurations as possible. Every once in awhile we have users with conflicts that cause slowing and we will do what we can to help pinpoint the issue. Thank you for your patience as we work at getting better.

Our lead developer checked on our setup and on the front-end we are only running one SELECT query.

Could you please export your Custom Sidebars using the import/export option and share your settings, a list of active plugins and the theme that is active on your site with us?

If you don’t want it publicly, you can send it to us directly by using our contact form:
    https://premium.wpmudev.org/contact/#i-have-a-different-question

    Send in:

    Subject: “Attn: Joshua Dailey”
    – Link to your zipped export settings
    – List of active plugins
    – Name of active theme
    – Link back to this thread for reference

Thank you for the information and we look forward to your reply.

Thank you for using Custom Sidebars. I am going to mark this topic resolved because it was moved to email. If this issue is not resolved we can reopen it. Thanks again!
