    Hi,

I have trying everything to set the custom sidebars for footer in other 2 languages in authors and tags archives to no avail.
I fixed for pages and categories, however, I cannot make it for tags and authors archieves. I mean I have to have different footers in other languages, which are already made as custom sidebars.

    I use polylang.

    Could you please advise?

  • Hello @bluefunk68,

Do you need to have entirely different sidebars for language or different lang versions of widgets?
Because if PolyLang already has option to show widgets for languages – so you can use it in the custom sidebar you have created:

Or you are looking for something else? Let me know

    Dear Kasia,

Thank you for the answer, however, I am not sure we are on the same line.

First of all I cannot find the the widget display as per your picture.

    Secondly…
Yes, I do need different widget look for different languages, in this case in the footer. As I wrote down I succeeded for categories and pages, however, I could not make it for author pages.
I do in the panel for widget (describing position of the sidebar) assigning in case of, for example, categories specific archieves categories for each sidebar in different languages (actually choosing the categories by names).

I supposed it should have been done the same way for authors archives (which are shown in archieves – authors), but it did not work the same way.

    Then please advise.

I hope I am clear on the issue?

    Hey @bluefunk68,

    Hope you’re well.

    As far as I understand your question, because of custom sidebar is not designed for it there is no easy way to make custom sidebars for different languages, so you need custom coding about it. But, As Kasia said Polylang has feature about “show this widget in this language”. So specify sidebar for possible pages then you can choose which widget should visible for which language. I am adding bigger version of Kasia’s image;

    I hope that helps.

    Cheers,
