Hi @bcolgba
Sorry to hear you are having this problem.
I tested the plugin on my website and it worked as expected.
The only widget that I see on the source code for your website is the footer widget.
Could you please make a full backup, and switch to a different theme, for example, the default WordPress twenty twenty theme, configure the sidebar and check if the issue is gone?
Let us know the result you got.
Best Regards
Patrick Freitas
Hi Patrick,
I don’t want to risk changing the theme right now. Is there a way to show you a screenshot of the pages that shows the custom sidebars are enabled and chosen.
Hi @bcolgba
You can take screenshot and upload it e.g. to your site or Dropbox/Google/similar cloud and share link to it here.
However, the point of the test that my colleague suggested is to check if there’s any conflict with theme. This is quite a basic troubleshooting step and it might help find out what’s happening – while it wouldn’t be visible on screenshot.
I understand this is a bit risky (though shouldn’t be much of a risk) and that’s why we suggest taking full backup.
Kind regards
Adam
If the plugin worked fine on my theme for about a year why would the plugin just stop working?
Hi @bcolgba,
Hope you are doing good today. 🙂
If the plugin worked fine on my theme for about a year why would the plugin just stop working?
We do understand you, however, since we aren’t able to replicate any such issues on our side it sounds more like conflict and hence we suggested switching the theme to see how the plugin works.
Such issues can occur due to a conflict which can arise from updating the other plugin or theme in your website. So it’s tough to say what exactly is causing the issue without ruling out a conflict.
You can check the following flow chart on how to run a full conflict test:
https://premium.wpmudev.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/09/Support-Process-Support-Process.gif
I do understand if you cannot risk running such a test in a live site. If possible, please do try to test this out in a staging website, so you don’t have to worry about changing the theme in your live site.
Also, do share the screenshot you have mentioned in the previous reply, so that we could check whether it would give any clue regarding the issue or not.
Kind Regards,
Nithin
