Custom Tag

Here’s what I’d like to do: I want to link two pages together and instead of linking them by their title, I’d like to link them by a pre-defined anchor text (a text string that I use for the hyperlink text). So let’s say I link Pages X (The 10 Greatest Red Widgets) and Y (Are Blue Widgets the New Thing?), the link on Page X pointing to Page Y, I would want that text to read “blue widgets” and not the title of Y “Are Blue Widgets the New Thing?”.

I saw the {custom} tag and was wondering if that would be a way to key in the desired anchor text for a particular page, and then use the custom tag in the Output Template.

Would appreciate knowing more about the Custom tag or if there is another way to achieve what I’m trying to do. Thanks.
