Custom taxonomy getting caught in navigation loop?

    Hi

    As you can see the custom taxonomy I put together works as on the attached page it filters all the 2020 students. However when you go into one of the student pages the post navigation at the bottom of the page seems to get stuck in a loop between 2 of the studendts?

    Can you please provide some help for this?

    Are you doing anything custom/special with your template files to set up the pagination and everything? or are you perhaps using default templates made available in your theme already for handling the display?

    I know there’s pagination function options to “stay within the same category” that I’m also curious if are getting utilized.

    Hi Michael

    I dont think I am doing anything special for the pagination
    I use Elementor Hello Theme & Elementor pro page builder & have created a single post template with the elementor post navigation element. I have used this feature with custom fields before and it has worked fine.
    I am using the same elements on my blog posts and it works well – The difference being it is not a custom post type or taxonomy.

    The only thing I can think that I have done differently this time compared to other sites is that I imported all the student pages via excel spreadsheet.

    Any ideas of things I could try?

    At this point, and with that said, I’d recommend reaching out to Elementor support for this, since it would be their elements in use here, as opposed to necessarily any of the out-of-box functionality from WordPress handling this. Elementor support will have a better idea, or at least hopefully will.
