Custom Theme Blog Issues

Hey there! I’ve got a <u>custom</u> static theme that I’ve created myself (I’ve got that part down), however, I would now like to incorporate a blog as another section of my website using the Posts. I’ve done a ton of research on the matter, but nothing seems to solve my problem.

How do I keep the static home page and website, but have another section of the website the blog posts?

Are there any functions I need to include to get it working? Think ground 0?

Help! How do I get started with this? Thanks in advance!
