• Hello,

I created a foogallery with the responsive design. Although I really love the gallery itself (very well done!), I don’t like the crop it makes to my images. My original images are horizontal and vertical.

Changing to “Force original” doesn’t work, because the original size destroyes the design of the gallery. I want to keep the square thumbnails, but change the thumbnail itself.

I saved the link to the custom thumbnail in the individual url field without success.

If I investigate the thumbnail with Chrome,I find that the displayed Thumb-Url is something like that:
    https://website.de/wp-content/uploads/cache/Original-image/1239984516.jpg
instead of my custom thumbnail link:
    https://website.de/wp-content/uploads/Original-image-300×300.jpg

Also deleting the thumbnail cache didn’t help.
Do you have any further idea?

  • Hi @andreawerner,

    Thanks for contacting FooPlugins.

Are you still experiencing this issue? If so, would you please go to FooGallery -> Settings and clear both the CSS and HTML cache buttons?

Please also make sure you have cleared any other caching plugins on your site.

Do you have a link to your site that you can share with us so we can take a direct look?

    Thanks in advance,

    Phill

    Hi Phill,

thanks for getting back to me. I cleared the HTML and the CSS cache. Also, once again the gallery cache and the cache from W3 Total (caching plugin).
Still the same issue – the thumbnail is a generated from cache (original image cropped), not the individual custom image.

    Link to the gallery

Not every image has a custom thumbnail. The first image is an example of a custom thumbnail not showing.

    Thanks in advance,
    Andrea
