CustomData storage in database going wrong

    Hi,

    I use this plugin and try to add a custom column (‘Description’).
    I manage the metadata to “database” because I don’t want to change my filename.

    But it’s not working…. Actually, when I add a file, physically it’s something like “nameofmyfile[mydescription].zip”.

    Don’t understand why.
    Here my shortcode :

    Thanks for any help.
    My page is used by several clients of my company by now, and it’s not good that our files are rename with [description] in it.

    This is being done when you upload the files, or when you use the “Rename” function in Manager Mode?

    Try removing uploader="name" from the [fileup] shortcode to see if that’s causing the issue.

    Yes, it’s when I upload a file.

    I remove uploader=”name” and it’s working know ! I try after upload the rename function, and it add the description as asked and not in the filename.
