Hi! I’m sorry, I guess I confused you with another customer!
So as I understand it, you don’t have a plugin to collect the VAT number in the checkout yet, you will need that first. There are several free options out there, although I’m not sure they also actually validate the VAT number (usually that’s a ‘pro’ feature). The premium version of WooCommerce EU Vat Compliance (free version here). Lets you validate the plugin and automatically add the number to the invoice.
If you don’t need validation, then a simple custom checkout field (numerous plugins out there) will do too, and if you check the documentation link from my post above you’ll find how to add that to the invoice (both free and pro).
