    Hello!

    I need a plugin to charge a fee depending on the distance. Im glad to know your plugin now. Im interested on trying it, and I see you are interested in helping users, so here is my question:

    You say your plugin uses Google’s Distance Matrix API.
    So, the api knows the origin point of my shop, but how does it get the user destination?
    It is by automatic geolocation? By the user’s complete address? By zipcode or by city?
    Does it work within 2km maximum for example? What happens if all my customers are from the same city and zipcode?

    Hi,

    Plugin uses shipping details the user enters at the checkout page to calculate the distance between your shop and the customer’s location.

    You can set maximum and/or minimum distances for the distance based fee and it does not matter how close or far your clients location is.

    I asked you instead of trying it myself, because I know that the Distance Matrix API has a cost, so I want to make sure it fits my needs.

    For example, my client has a food delivery store, but he can only carry food up to 2 km away as I said. Therefore, I would disable disable country, city, and zip code with a custom checkout field editor plugin. In that case users should only enter their name, email, street and apartment number, and nothing else.

    That is why I want to know which field or fields are validated by your plugin to detect the user’s location.

    Registering is free for the API and you can use quite large number of requests before you need to pay anything, so feel free to test drive the plugin by yourself.

    Destination city and address are required fields.
