I made a button for general use without making changes to the default colours or font but now that I go back to the button-creation page in order to customise it in line with my website my changes are lost when I click Save and the button reverts to how I set it up originally. Is this how it’s supposed to work? After clicking Save once (days ago) can I not go back and tweak the button?

You should be able to go back and tweak colors whenever you want. When did this start happening? Can you be a bit more specific about the issue so we can try to re-create the problem?

It’s only tonight that I’ve noticed this, I installed the plugin a few weeks ago and created a few basic buttons without aiming for a ‘finished look’. I remember that at one point I went back and changed the corner radius and those changes saved successfully – that was probably a few days ago. Tonight I tried to change the URL, background colours and fonts and when I clicked Save the original settings returned.

I found tonight that if I copied the original button and then made the same sort of changes to the copy those also would not save.

In the days since it was working properly I’ve installed many plugins and upgraded from the previous WordPress version – it would be almost impossible to pinpoint what caused the problem From your reply it seems there isn’t an overall ‘activate-customisations’ button so the problem is likely with my setup – it might be simplest if I uninstall and then reinstall?

I have the same problem. The plugin worked just fine yesterday, but after I updated today morning it’s stop working. All buttons created before work fine , but I’m not able to customize or create the new one. After I pressing save it’s taking me back to customize page, and when I check the list of the buttons I have, the new one is not there. I’m not so sure if uninstall and later install will resolve the problem, plus I afraid to lose all information and will be hard to start from beginning.

It seems from the reply from offerisor that there may be a deeper problem not just my own particular setup so I’ll wait to hear from the plugin author before uninstalling.

Try deactivating and re-activating. We added a few things to the database in the latest update and it sounds like it’s not recognizing them. Try the deactivation, re-activation process and let me know if that helps.

Yes, it works now. Thanks for the very quick service.

Thank you so much, John! I had the exact same problem since updating to the latest version of MaxButtons, and it was driving me crazy. Deactivating and activating again solved the problem immediately.

    Glad to hear it!

I had the same problem, but after deactivation it was solved. Thanks 4 solution.

Yes, it works. Deactivating and later reactivating solve the problem. Thanks.
