    Hi,

    Recently, I have moved our website to a new hosting. Now I am trying to reactivate the Wordfence fire wall but it fails. I have tried to recommended setting and the LiteSpeed version but it keeps saying that I have to customise the firewall. I have waited several days but that changed nothing.

    I don’t want to do it manually, so are there other options?

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @relenbaas,

    I’m sorry to hear you are having issues configuring the WAF with the recommended setup and unable to get the firewall working the way you desire it to work. Do you mind sending a diagnostic report to stevenr[at]wordfence[dot]com so I can take a look at what the setup should look like and how to best assist you?

    Thanks,
    Steve

    \@relenbaas,

    I wanted to follow up with you and ask a question to make sure I’m understanding your initial request. Are you looking to optimize the firewall or edit specific settings and customize the firewall.

    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

    Just looking to complete optimising Firewall as shown in this image:

    https://www.wordfence.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/optimize-wordfence-firewall.png

    So I have downloaded the .htaccess and the .user.ini files and clicked on continue.

    But I keep getting this message:

    https://www.wordfence.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/to-make-your-site-as-secure-as-possible-673.png

    @relenbaas,
    That’s great you are optimizing the firewall! Have you taken a look at Firewall Optimization Troubleshooting guide yet? I suggest going through this document and especially the ‘Sites using lsapi instead of mod_php’ section as that most applies to your configuration.
    Let me know if we can further assist you.
    Thanks,
    Steve

    Hi Steve,

    Update my .htaccess to include:

    <IfModule lsapi_module>
    php_value auto_prepend_file ‘/path/to/wordfence-waf.php’
    </IfModule>

    but that did not the trick. I do notice that a php.ini is missing in the root folder?

    Do you have other suggestions?

    Thanks,

    Rick

    Hi Rick,

    Can you see a .user.ini file in your website root directory? may I know its content?

    Also, please send another diagnostics report to “alaa [at] wordfence [dot] com”.

    Thanks.
