    Dear Support Team,

    I’m planning to develop a customized map for our school premises, aiming to help students locate specific areas within and outside the school. I’d like to inquire about the capabilities of your plugin in achieving this.

    Key Requirements:

    1. Map Creation: Can your plugin be used to create a map of our school premises, including both indoor and outdoor areas?
    2. Customization: Can we customize the map to include specific locations, such as classrooms, libraries, and other points of interest?
    3. External Locations: Is it possible to extend the map to include locations outside the school premises, such as student hostels or nearby amenities?
    4. User-Generated Content: Can students add their own locations, such as their hostels or favorite hangouts, to the map, making it visible to other students?

    Additional Questions:

    • Are there any limitations or restrictions on the number of locations that can be added to the map?
    • Can the map be integrated with our school’s website, allowing students to access it easily?
    • Are there any customization options available for the map’s design and layout?

    Thank you for reaching out, we do appreciate your time.

    Please find my responses to each of your questions below, in relevant sections.

    Key Requirements:

    1. We do support more customized map creation. We don’t specialize in internal structure mapping at this stage, however, we do have a tool which has been used in this way by others with great results. More specifically our latest Image Overlay (Pro) feature allows you to add an image to a map as an additional layer. This means you could have an illustrated image of the internal structure placed onto a map at specific coordinates and then add markers on top of this.
    2. We do have various tools for customizing the marker appearance and presentation.
    3. Yes, with the solution I suggested in point 1, you would be able to add locations both internally and externally, although it’s worth mentioning that technically all locations in that example would be external, but overlayed onto your internal image overlay
    4. We do have an add-on which would allow user generated markers. This adds a form below your map, or can be separated onto a dedicated page of your website, allowing users (students) to submit markers to your map. These markers can be held for approval, meaning an administrator on your team needs to approve them, or automatically publish, if preferred.

    Additional Questions:

    1. We do not limit the number of markers that can be added to a map. There are map limits which might need to be considered, for our basic (free) version you can only have a single map, with unlimited markers and limited customization. Our premium version adds more customization and allows unlimited maps to be created.
    2. As long as your school website is built on WordPress, the map and editor will work as expected. You can add the map as a block, widget, or shortcode to any user facing page.
    3. We do have various layout options, including a fully modular system allowing you to add the individual components to your page as a shortcode. Additionally, for things like our marker listings and info-windows, various styles are included, along with icon customization and color options
