• Hi,
I do have som customizing problems with the jetpack subscription widget.
I created a blog for a friend, which is running and available under style22.de.
For Blog followers, I acitvated the Jetpack Plugin to get the subscription form.
The Styling etc. was no problem, but I’m missing some functions.
I found a post which I thought could be my solution under http://kovshenin.com/2012/using-jetpack-for-e-mail-subscriptions-in-wordpress/

It’s interesting to use the functionality of Jetpack with some individual code, plus it wouldn’t affect any updates of jetpack, if I would put a subscription form in the sidebar manually and added the code for it in the functions.php.

BUT i’m not good enough in PHP to get this work. My aim is to get a form as the one on the blog, with the same error messages in jetpack, PLUS hiding the form itself after submit via PHP, which isn’t supportet in the Jetpack Widget.

It would be great if anyone could help me out to get it done.

AND if it would be possible to add a function to inform the admin via email, if a new follower registered successfully to the blog (after acitvating the link in the confirmatione mail, THAT would the best.
