    I would like to create a standard notification format using HTML and then MANUALLY send it when I wanted to rather than scheduling it.

    1. Can I turn-off automatic digest and post-level notification?

    2. Create a custom layout using HTML and inserting it into Send Email?

    3. I could also customize my subject.

    Would this work?

    Thanks!

  • @dana,

    Yes, that’s all possible if you exclude all categories in the Subscribe2->Settings page and then create your own HTML email in the Send Email page of the HTML version of Subscribe2.

    Last night I successfully previewed a notification email with 3 stacked ads

    Custom Subject
    Custom message
    Thumbnail image of my media (150 pixel width) for video and image posts.
    [img] with thumnails
    [link] with post URLs

    Custom footer

    The key was to make a duplicate image of the original and then “thumbnail” the second one.

    Now I want to see if I can use a table format so it has a more professional design.

    I’ll keep you apprised of my progess

    @dana,

    Using a table is certainly possible but you may need to restrict yourself to inline CSS to ensure consistent email presentation in different web and application email clients (i.e Google Mail as compared to Outlook).
