• Hi,

    I have been getting this “Looks like something’s gone wrong. Wait a couple seconds, and then try again.” error in the CUSTOMIZER and could not find a proper solution to fix it.

    It is not just with one site, I face this on most of the sites of my clients.

    No matter the site is on AWS EC2, GoDaddy Shared Hosting, BigRock Shared Hosting, SiteGround, or whatsoever platform. But these errors exist everywhere.

    What is the reason? And how do we fix this once in for all?
    Please help!

    That message occurs when the script loader has trouble loading one of its resources. While this could be due to a server issue like incorrect file permissions, since you see this on multiple sites, the problem is more likely a theme or plugin that’s in common to all sites exhibiting the error.

    Narrow down the cause by selectively deactivating likely candidates until the error goes away. Be aware that caching can confuse test results. Disable any caching that’s in place if you can. Your browser’s network developer tool has an option to disable browser caching in its related window.

    Your browser developer tools console may also provide some clues. Check for javascript exceptions in the console, and request errors in the network tab.

    Hi @bcworkz @glendaviesnz – Thanks for your response.

    I did check in the console & found out it is due to the issues caused by;

    1. Advanced Editor Tools (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/tinymce-advanced/) [By @automattic, @azaozz]
    2. Disable Admin Notices (https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/disable-admin-notices/) [By @webcraftic, @alexkovalevv, @creativemotion]

    I disabled them and tried again – The error was gone and things worked fine.
