• Hi guys,

recently switched hosting providers and uploaded my backup to my new file system.

Everything is working perfectly except for when I try to access customizer.

    I am getting an error:

nav-menu.min.js?ver=5.4.2:2 Uncaught ReferenceError: columns is not defined
    at Object.initToggles (nav-menu.min.js?ver=5.4.2:2)
    at Object.init (nav-menu.min.js?ver=5.4.2:2)

    at HTMLDocument.J (load-scripts.php?c=0&load[chunk_0]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate&ver=5.4.2:2)

Nothing in customizer will load due to this issue, which is to be expected. Not sure how this issue has happened because everything was fine before the host switch and I loaded these files and DB with no issues on my previous host to check they were working correctly.

    I have attempted the following:

    disabled all plugins
    reinstalled theme
    reinstalled WordPress latest version

Any guidance at this point would be appreciated, thanks.

  • Without a link to your website we can’t really provide help here. Beyond suggesting that you use the health check plugin https://ww.wp.xz.cn/plugins/health-check/ to confirm that it’s actually the theme causing the problem and not one of your plugins.

If you’re using a premium theme you’ll need to contact the theme developer.

    Hi Davood,

    Sorry for the late reply.

I have tried health check to no avail. I initially thought it was a theme issue and I have reached out to divi support and they have said its a WordPress issue.

I have tested customizer on different themes and the same problem exists. I have tried it with all plugins deactivated and that still doesn’t solve the problem.

Site link as requested, I’m gonna have to give you remote access right? How can I do that confidentially?

No, we do not take access here on wp.org that is against forum policy. Unfortunately, Divi is a premium theme and we can not provide support for it here. I guarantee you this is not a WordPress issue though. It could be a conflict with your php version. make sure you are using php 7.1 or later. That is the most I will be able to do to help you. You will need to check with your host and make sure you’re using a recent version of php and if you are you will need to figure it out with Divi support.
