Customizer – Refresh page when closing customizer

    I’m finding that changes made in the customizer do not appear in the theme after I exit the customizer, and have to refresh the page manually to see the changes. Is there a way to have the page automatically refresh when exiting the customizer?

    Have you tried using the default TwentySixteen theme and testing the customizer?

    Also you should deactivate all plugins to see if one is conflicting in some way, this is the most likely cause.

    Hi WebTrooper,

    this very likely is just a caching issue. You could check if you are running any caching plugins and ensure that the cache is cleared (plugin + browser).

    Thank you for the replies. It turns out the reason is that the custom theme I’m using creates (or updates) a separate style sheet, using settings from customizer. I now have it so a time stamp is added to the style sheet, which solves the problem.
