Customizer seems broken

Hi,

I’m having issues with your customizer and just wanted to make sure I’m not crazy. First there does not seem to be a way to change the colour of page text. I did set post text to #ffffff and that works but text on pages remains default. Second the footer colour doesn’t stick I change it to black then it was good until I made another change. It turned back to white. Tried to change back to black but no go. Changed to red. That worked in customizer view. Changed back to black and that too worked in customizer but not on the page. Also changes to text sizes don’t work anywhere.

Basically I’m getting some changes in customizer to work and some don’t. Almost like there is a caching issue. No caching installed other than what might be running on the server itself. It’s a pretty clean install though. 1-Click Digital Ocean.

This is a clean install not other plugins fresh wordpress on new Digital Ocean droplet.

Any ideas?

Hi there,

Well I do apologize that you are having issues with the theme.

I do see that I thought I had put in the option to change the page color, but I didn’t. My apologies. I will def be making that part of the next update.

As for the text in the footer, I just tested changing the colors and everything seems to work properly, even changing the font size in every area that has that option. That seems to be working as well.

I do know for a fact that the theme has nothing to do with caching. Do you have something I can look at maybe?

Can I PM you with a login? The site is empty so you’re free to take a look around. The only thing I added was duplicator. It’s got a good system tool so you can see the config.

Hi there,

I took a look around your site. I agree there are some things that need to be adjusted with the customizer, which I will do today and possibly push out an update.

It seems when I pushed out the update to the customizer, I forgot to make sure everything was in place. I just assumed and we all know what happens when you do that.

Other than that I do not know what you expected me to do on your site?

For the footer I would suggest you look at this thread: https://ww.wp.xz.cn/support/topic/footer-length-not-setting/

Until I push out the update you may want to use this css to adjust the footer:
```
footer[role="contentinfo"] {
    max-width: 75rem;
    background-color: #ffffff;
}
```

You weren’t missing anything, total lack of focus on my part so I’m going to go through the theme today and make sure everything works, plus I’m going to put in the option to change the color of page text.

That should have been in place to begin with. It’s users like yourself that bring this stuff to my attention so I can fix it and I’m very grateful.
