Customizer stops saving changes when plugin is enabled

    Hi, I have a custom theme that heavily relies on data set in the wp cutomizer and fields added using $wp_customize. Unfortunatelly it appears that as soon as the plugin is enabled, customizer stops savign changes – I can preview them, and the network tab gets an ajax response claiming that publication succeeded, but no change is being done to the database. Turning plugin off makes everything work again.
