Customizing functionality

Have about 1000 products and a few components of the things we can do with them. On each product, need to swap the generic images of the components with the real ones of the hosting product. In other similar plugins, I’ve achieved that by copying some templates to the child theme and modding them to fit my needs, but WPC Composites ain’t like that. I see only one big wpc-composite-products.php containing everything. How would you suggest one could approach customizations?
