    I want to modify some of the terms used in the plugin. What is the best practice for doing so, in your plugin’s .po file, without it being overridden in updates?

    Hello @hopetommola

    Hope you’re doing well!

    Please use the bpfb-default.po file from /wp-content/plugins/buddypress-activity-plus/languages and chnage the file strings.
    Upload changed bpfb-default.po and bpfb-default.mo files to /wp-content/languages/plugins/ directory and translated strings will not be changed after a plugin update.

    Hope this helps!

    Cheers,
    Nastia

    Thanks! I tried to do this, and it didn’t seem to work. I’ll try again. I’m new to Poedit

    I’ve repeated the process exactly as described – twice – and the edited strings don’t update. I’m changing these:

    Add Photos -> Post Photos
    Add Video -> Post Video
    Add Link -> Post Link

    Otherwise, these buttons infer that you are “adding another” when you’re really replacing the “Post Update” button that shows by default.

    Please advise.
    Thx

    Hey @hopetommola,

    I hope you’re well.

    I checked the language files editing and it’s not working on my test site too. So I am reporting this to developers for further investigation. Until that time as a temp solution, you can edit that texts from buddypress-activity-plus/lib/class_bpfb_binder.php file.

    Cheers,
    Oguz
