customizing sidebars

    Hi
    New to wordpress and working on transferring my blog from blogger.
    in blogger, I was able to customize the sidebars with javascript and html blocks. I do not see that here, is there an hmtl widget to download? An example of what I want to transfer over is all (or some) of the stuff in the sidebars of my current blog like subscribe and follow me on twitter and ads…:
