    Hello,

I purchased the Site Reviews plugin and while I am generally satisfied with its features and integration, I am very disappointed with the lack of flexibility when it comes to customizing the review submission form.

After spending more than four hours trying different approaches, we were still unable to override the default layout (yellow rating stars, form fields, the unattractive submit button). Specifically, we have already tried:

    • Writing custom CSS with !important rules
    • Making sure our styles load after the plugin’s default styles
    • Creating and importing a custom JSON file for the form with additional classes
    • Adding custom classes directly into the form
    • Attempting adjustments via PHP (functions.php)

Despite all these efforts, the form design remains unchanged.

I urgently need advice (or ideally, could you please prepare a working example form according to the attached screenshot and provide me with the file). Otherwise, the plugin will not be usable for my project, and I will likely be forced to switch to another solution and request a refund.

Thank you very much for your help.

    Best regards,
    Jan Kotlin

    Hi Jan

Firstly, if you have a Premium license, please use the Support form on your account as this forum is only for the free Site Reviews plugin.

After spending more than four hours trying different approaches, we were still unable to override the default layout (yellow rating stars, form fields, the unattractive submit button). Specifically, we have already tried:

    yellow rating stars

The Review Themes addon allows you to change the rating star color and image. Create a review theme and then select that theme in the Review Form Elementor widget options.

    form fields

While the Review Forms addon allows you to set custom responsive widths for each field, that specific layout used in your screenshot is a little more advanced and will require some CSS. The Review Form uses CSS Grid for layout, so it should be fairly simple to do using grid-row and grid-column. Please submit a support request from your account page along with the URL that displays your review form and I can help you with this there.

    the unattractive submit button

Site Reviews provides a fairly simple solution for this:

Change the Plugin Style option in the Site Reviews settings. For example, you are using Elementor and the Contact Form 7 plugin. Site Reviews provides plugin styles to match both of these. I recommend selecting Elementor as the plugin style, this will style your form to match your Elementor theme, it will also inherit any global Elementor styles that you set in your theme (i.e. button style).
