Customizing WordPress into your Layout

Ohk, sorry if there is already a thread of this, but I couldn’t find one.

Basically, i’m new to wordpress and i’m quite overwhelmed. Is there a way to put wordpress into your layout like for example: this layout – http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/5016/alexislayoutiona0rb.jpg, but just have your blog in one of the coloumns?
