    Hi there,

I discovered that hyperlinks are removed from text when this text is cut/pasted to a different place in the text in the visual editor. This used to be possible without any problems.

I think this is a bug that came with WordPress 4.0.

  • Have you tried using the HTML view? As long as you include from
<a href="..."> </a>you have copied the entire link.

I haven’t seen this as a bug in any of my installations. Do you have many plugins installed? There may be something causing a conflict.

    Hi Laura O’Neill,

Yes, I do have a lot of plugins. The HTML tab does it’s work properly, it’s the Visual Editor that doesn’t copy the a href tags.

It is possible that one or more of the plugins is interfering here. If you can, please disable the plugins and try copy/paste. This will help troubleshoot where the problem is coming from.

Finally time to work on this issue. This week, I discovered that this problem occurs on different websites with different sets of plugins. I’m not really into solving this problem with disabling en enabling those on all these platforms. So I think me and my clients wil just have to deal with it…

But thanks anyway. (I hope another solution will come up…)
