CVC Not required
-
I noticed that customers are not required to enter a CVC number, they can leave the field blank despite that the field shows an asterisk like it is a required field. How can I change the setting to require them to enter this field?
-
There is no settings for this yes do you think i should have this settings ?
Thanks
Yes, I think it would be good to have a setting to require the CVC code. I honestly thought it was required by default since there was no setting and it showed an asterisk on that field.
Thanks!
Robert,
I had a look at code and found out that is a default settings but how would be idea of hiding entire CVC field ?
I can add a setting field checkbox for you as Hide CVC field how would be that idea ?
And if I help you what are chances you like to help me with donations in future as we really spend hard time to listen to everyone in timely fashion
Thanks
I ran a test order and did not enter the CVC code and it let my order go through so I do not think the CVC field is actually required. I don’t want to hide the field, make it act like the phone number or email field; when it is set in the back-end to “required” it shows the asterisk by the field and if the field is left blank it shows an error at the top of the page saying the field is required or cannot be left blank or some sort of error notice. If in the back-end it is NOT set to “required” then the asterisk by the field is gone and it does not show the error notice when it is left blank.
I am more than happy to donate, let me know if these changes are possible and I will donate. Thanks for the help and support!
Okay give me a day i will have a look and update you on this.
Hi Robert,
What you needed is ready here http://www.codesend.com/view/cd249cf24410f0e1da3bda93817b664a/
but you will have to take a pain to manually replace entire code on plugin main file with one on above link
thanks
NazrulThanks I will test it now.
I am trying to test on my dev site in sandbox mode but I keep getting the following error “Merchant do not support accepting in unknown card”. I have an authorize.net sandbox account, I have entered the correct API ID and key, i tried in sandbox mode in your plugin as well as in live mode. I am using the Authorize.net card numbers on https://developer.authorize.net/hello_world/testing_guide/ and I have also tried my Authorize.net in test and live mode and I get the same error every time. Any suggestions on how I can fix it? I can’t test on my live site as it is a a busy site and I don’t want to break anything.
Thanks!
1-Can you show me demo link please?
2-Can you make sure you are on default twentyfifteen or twentysixteen theme
3-Just use 4111 1111 1111 1111 that should work
4-Have you used the plugin with live site to successfully receive payment in live mode ?-

1-http://stage.decodip.com/shop/
2-Switched to twentyfifteen and still seeing error
3-Tried that card as well as a few others with expiration date 10/20 with and without cvc
4-Currently using UNMODIFIED plugin on live site with no issuesCan you disable some of plugins not is use as i see data is being as a side note are u using modified or unmodified plugin on test site let me know that will get me clue
Have you checked unmodified plugin on test site ? please
I disabled all my plugins except woocommerce ones, I still get the same error. Tested the version I have on my live site on the dev site and it works, so i put the new one from the code above and it fails so something seems to be failing on the updated version.
oh okay so if unmodified version works i will again test it at my end sorry for inconvenience
no worries, thanks for the help!
Robert,
Sorry for delay and inconvenience caused the entire plugin was perfect except a single character ‘\’ got removed from regular expression and caused the mess
I personally checked the code both ways (with cvc and without cvc)
here is the link of entire modified please install this one.
Regards
Nazrul-
