Dashboard does not load

    I have one site running without a problem. I then moved to a multisite network configuration. I am using the subdirectory method.

    When I attempt to go to the dashboard a blank page is served. The debugger shows no code behind, no htmal other than the <htmnl><body> and
    <pre> tags. It also has a long error message that can only be seen in the debugger that says "<em>The character encoding of the plain text document was not declared. The document will render with garbled text in some browser configurations if the document contains characters from outside the US-ASCII range. The character encoding of the file needs to be declared in the transfer protocol or file needs to use a byte order mark as an encoding signature."</em>
