  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    Yay!
    I found the offending plugin. It’s the Download Monitor but I don’t know whether or not because of a conflict with another plugin. Thanks esmi.

    I might check its compatibility with my other plugin some other time and report back here. As for the problem, it has been resolved.
