Whatever the issue is – it is specific to your site. Try:
– switching to the Twenty Eleven theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.
– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.
– re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress.
– re-running the upgrade manually using wp-admin/upgrade.php.
No it not specific to his site… I just updated our site from 3.2 to 3.2.1 and in the Dashboard… the leftside menu is GONE. This is inside the backend of WordPress. I updated 10 other sites on the same HostGator account, all look fine.
see my image here…
I tried switching to 20/10 & 20/11 themes… I deleted my cache files, I tried IE, Chrome & Firefox… all show this screen of my WordPress dashboard.
I tried reinstall of 3.2.1
have 5.2.17 PHP…
Need help!!!
Same here. I have about seven WordPress installs on one server. All are fine except this one. Same thing – it’s like there’s no style sheet for the admin side (looks fine on the user-view side). I’ve deleted and re-uploaded a freshly downloaded vs. 3.2.1 twice now.
After googling, I see a few people having this problem right now. I hope someone realises it’s an issue soon.
Thanks in advance for assistance/investigations…
I’m running upwards of 20 sites and about half of them exhibit the problem – almost like the install just didn’t quite finish.(although it reports that it installed successfully using the wp auto update) All on same host – host support … nada – huh?? Not a clue! (yes I’m thinking about changing (ordered a new server today – scru hosting)
Also Running Thesis on most but not all – does not seem to be theme related. I cured two sites by forcing a reinstall – but it doesn’t work every time.
I still have revenue sites that I cannot access! Sites are running fine – I just cannot get at the menus on the panel.
New menus are pretty when they work … but @#*&$ guys, if aint broke —
Don’t fix it!!
I’m sure they are!
Last time I’ll casually hit the auto update without carefully checking the new requirements section.
Nice day all …!
