• Hi how do I add pages/menu items to the dashboard menu item created by this plugin?

I’d like to add a page for a study day plugin I use which would be ‘My Studydays’ so that this truly becomes a dashboard area.

However I don’t see the dashboard menu item in the menu sections of wordpress??

Excuse me I’m new to wordpress. A quick response would be appreciated as I am going to be going pro.

  • Hey there Mrsjprice,

    Hope you’re well today 🙂

CoursePress uses virtual pages for its pages and by default those pages are added to your navigation automatically without being visible in Appearance -> Menus.

You can disable that by going to CoursePress -> Settings -> General and unchecking Display Menu Items, see screenshot http://screencast.com/t/1hO13Wnj.

After that you can go to Appearance -> Menus and click on the CoursePress tab and then Pages and you should be able to add CoursePress pages manually to your navigation http://screencast.com/t/Cy4I9Mn2nZ.

With that being said you can also use regular pages by using the correct shortcodes, you’ll find more info and where to select pages in CoursePress -> Settings -> General -> Slugs.

You can also see available shortcodes and attributes in CoursePress -> Settings -> Shortcodes.

    Hope this helps 🙂

    Cheers,
    Bojan
